How do I check a broker?
Ask which towns they work in, whether they hold written authority from the seller, and who pays their brokerage and how much — in writing. Agents selling in TNRERA-registered projects are required to register with TNRERA; check their registration number on the TNRERA website.
Questions to ask a broker
Who is the owner, and has the owner agreed to the sale? Can you share copies of the survey number, Patta and EC? Is there legal road access? When and to whom is brokerage paid? In whose name will the advance be paid?
Red flags
Pressure to pay an advance before documents are shown; not letting you meet the owner; asking for money into a personal account; a “DTCP approved” board with no approval number or plan; “today only” urgency.
Is it free to be listed?
Yes. Listing is free. Every listing is reviewed before it goes live.
How do I see a broker’s or document writer’s phone number?
Phone numbers are private by default. If the listed person has chosen to show their number, tap “Show number” on their profile and verify your mobile with a one-time code (OTP). By doing this you agree that your details may be shared with that broker or writer and Kanyakumari Properties.
Does Kanyakumari Properties recommend the people listed?
No. This is a self-submitted directory and details are declared by the submitter. Verify independently before any agreement. Corrections: info@kanyakumariproperties.com.
