Illustrative loan comparison
The loan amount changes the cash subtotal
Each example uses a ₹50 lakh property and ₹6.25 lakh of entered upfront costs. Replace every example figure with your own checked amounts.
How to use the calculator
Build one complete purchase scenario
- 01Enter the agreed or tested property price
Use the purchase price for the scenario you want to examine.
- 02Add the relevant loan amount
Use the loan figure for that same scenario so the calculator can separate the down payment.
- 03Enter each checked upfront cost
Add registration, brokerage, legal and survey, and immediate-work estimates from the sources relevant to your transaction.
- 04Review the total and keep a separate reserve
Treat the result as a planning subtotal, then account separately for omitted or uncertain costs.
Calculation method
How the cash requirement is calculated
The calculator subtracts the loan amount from the property price, then adds only the upfront costs you enter.
Show the formula and included costs
- Down payment = property price - loan amount
- Entered upfront costs = registration + brokerage + legal and survey + immediate work
- Total cash needed = down payment + entered upfront costs
- Loan-to-value = loan amount ÷ property price × 100
Common questions
Property cash requirement FAQs
Clear answers about down payment, entered buying costs, reserves and the limits of a planning subtotal.
What does this property cash requirement calculator include?
It adds the down payment to the registration, brokerage, professional and immediate-work amounts you enter. It does not add any cost that you leave out.
Should I enter the requested loan or the confirmed loan amount?
Use the loan amount relevant to the scenario you are planning. Before committing money, replace an early estimate with the amount and disbursement terms confirmed by the lender.
Are registration charges calculated automatically?
No. Enter a separately checked registration-cost estimate. Confirm the exact current record, chargeable value and applicable charges through official sources before payment.
What should I include under legal and survey costs?
Enter the professional costs you expect for your own transaction, such as document review or survey work. Obtain a current quote instead of copying the example amount.
Does the result include an emergency reserve?
No. The result contains only the six figures entered in the calculator. Keep any emergency reserve, moving cost or later renovation budget separate.
Is the result a loan approval or final purchase quote?
No. It is a mathematical planning total. Loan sanction, disbursement, final government charges and professional invoices must be confirmed separately.
