What the local body can establish

The corporation, municipality, town panchayat or village panchayat may issue the applicable building licence or local approval within delegated powers. Confirm the current delegation and jurisdiction.

Verification steps

Match district, planning area, local body, village, survey subdivisions, approval number, date, applicant, site extent, roads, reserved areas and every condition on the approved drawing.

Limitation

A registration deed, Patta, tax receipt, electricity connection or RERA entry does not by itself prove planning or building approval.
